지난 한 주 동안 법무법인 미래 변호사들은 조지아주 현장에서 폴크스턴(Folkston) ICE 구금시설(남성)과 스튜어트(Stewart) 구금시설(여성)에 억류된 두 회사의 직원들을 지원했습니다. 저희 법무법인은 약 40명에 가까운 직원들을 직접 대리했으며, 이들을 포함해 총 316명의 한국인 직원들 전원이 무사히 한국으로 귀국하게 된 것을 매우 다행스럽게 생각합니다.
구금시설의 환경은 매우 열악했습니다. 깨끗한 식수가 제공되지 않았고, 침대도 없이 24시간 이상 대기해야 하는 상황이 이어졌습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 구금된 직원들은 끝까지 강인함과 의연함을 보여주었습니다.
모두가 가족의 품으로 돌아간 것을 진심으로 기쁘게 생각하며, 빠른 회복과 일상으로의 원활한 복귀를 기원합니다. 어려운 상황 속에서도 저희에게 신뢰를 보내주신 두 회사에도 깊이 감사드립니다.

Over the past week, Mirae Law attorneys were on the ground in Georgia assisting two companies whose employees were detained at the Folkston ICE Processing Center (men) and the Stewart Detention Center (women). We represented close to 40 employees, and we are relieved that they, along with all 316 South Korean detainees, have now safely returned home to Korea.
The conditions at the detention sites were difficult — with undrinkable water and many individuals waiting more than 24 hours without a bed to be processed. Despite these hardships, the employees showed remarkable strength and good spirits throughout the ordeal.
We are grateful that all have now reunited with their families, and we wish them comfort, swift recovery, and a smooth return to normal life.
We also extend our appreciation to the companies who entrusted Mirae Law with this responsibility. It was our honor to stand alongside their employees during this challenging time.
