Attorney Young-Eon (Ryan) Kim is a senior partner at Mirae Law and specializes in U.S immigration law.

As an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Attorney Kim is committed in providing legal assistance to individuals and companies across the United States in all aspects of immigration law.  He is distinguished for his outstanding performance in the areas of corporate immigration law involving employment-based visas and green card processes for American subsidiaries of foreign companies in all sizes.  His clients include small companies to worldwide conglomerates, and his attention-to-detail is the key to his success rate.  His area of expertise has recently expanded to include O-visas for musicians and artists from all over the world, as well as National Interest Waiver for highly qualified researchers.

Attorney Kim is also known for actively promoting social responsibility within his community.  He has served as legal counsel for the Consulate General of the Republic of Korean in Chicago and also for the Korean Churches Federation of Greater Chicago.  He was also appointed by the Korean government to oversee the Korean elections as vice-chair of the Chicago division of the Republic of Korea National Election Committee for last five years. He regularly contributes op-eds to local daily newspapers, such as Korea Daily and Kyocharo.  Additionally, he was commissioned by the Korean government to author an immigration law booklet to assist new Korean immigrants to adjust to their new life here in the States.

Attorney Kim graduated from Korea University Law School, and after serving as public affairs officer in the Korean air force, he came to the U.S to study law and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law with an LLM degree.   Attorney Kim is a born-again Christian, married with Hyunai Lee and has two children, Clair and Ethan. On his days off, Attorney Kim enjoys a good round of golf and swimming.

김영언 변호사는 미국 중서부 한인사회에서 책임감 있는 사회참여에도 노력하여 왔습니다. 주시카고총영사관 자문변호사, 시카고민주평통 간사, 시카고 재외선거관리위원회 부위원장, 세계한인벤처네트워크 시카고지부 사무총장, 시카고교회협의회 고문변호사 등 다양한 활동으로 대내외로 신망이 높습니다. 시카고 한국일보 중앙일보 및 교차로 등에 오랫동안 이민법에 대한 칼럼을 실어 왔으며, 주시카고총영사관이 발행한 이민법정보책자를 책임집필하였습니다.  

 

대전에서 출생한 김변호사는, 서울 영동고를 거쳐, 고려대학교 법학과와 법학대학원을 졸업하였습니다. 학사장교(정훈)로 공군에서 복무한 뒤, 미국 University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign 로스쿨을 졸업하였습니다.  수영과 골프를 좋아하는 김영언 변호사는, 거듭난 기독교인으로서 장애인의 권익신장에 남다른 관심을 가지고 있으며, 아내 이현애씨와의 사이에 Claire, Ethan 을 두고 있습니다.
