Attorney June-Yeon Cho has both stellar academic and judicial background.  After graduating from the renowned Seoul National University Law School in 1989 and passing the Korean National Bar, he completed judicial research and training courses and served as a Navy judge.   In 1995, Attorney Cho began his career as a district judge in South Korea serving the Busan District Court.   After serving for five years as the district judge, attorney Cho began his private practice and founded and manages GU Law Firm in Seoul and Suwon Korea.

Attorney Cho has a general practice and represents clients in a variety of cases including civil, domestic, criminal, administrative, and corporate law.  Attorney Cho joined Mirae Law recently to represent U.S clients in all matters related to Korean law.

Attorney Cho spends his time actively serving his community by volunteering through committees and associations affiliated with the courts, central, and local governments.  He has served as a committee member and /or as a chairperson for the following associations:  Suwon District Court Coordinator, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, E-Commerce Mediation Committee, Ministry of Justice Social Integration Commissioner, Gyeongi Province Human Resources Committee, Korean Immigration Office Immigration Integration Support Committee, Foreigners Support Association, Gyeonggi Transportation, Pyeongtaek City, Euiwang City, Osan City, Standard Telecom Bankruptcy Trustee, Seoul Guarantee Insurance Co., Ltd, Korean Asset Management Corporation, KT Sports, and WISOL Corporation.

He is married and has four children, and is busy keeping up with his growing and active family when away from his office. 

 

 

조준연 변호사는 충남 부여에서 출생하여 서울 청량고를 거쳐 서울대학교 법과대학과 법과대학원을 졸업하였습니다. 조변호사는 1989년 서울대학교 법과대학을 졸업하면서 사법시험(제31회)에 합격하고 사법연수원(21기)을 수료한 후 해군법무관(해군본부, 해병대사령부 등 근무)을 거쳐 1995년 부산지방법원에서 판사 생활을 시작하였습니다. 2000년 수원지방법원에서 판사로 근무하던 조변호사는 법률가로서 좀더 다양한 경험을 갖고자 판사 직을 사직하고 서울과 수원에 사무실을 두고 있는 법무법인 지유(地維)의 대표변호사로 활동하여 왔습니다. 한편 한국에서 변호사로 활동하던 중 국제적 감각을 갖출 필요를 느낀 조변호사는 미국 Northwestern University Law School에서 미국법을 공부하고 2008년 뉴욕주 변호사 자격도 취득하였습니다.

 

조변호사는 한국에서 법무관, 판사, 변호사로서 활동하면서 일반민사, 가사, 형사, 행정 및 기업자문 등 다양한 분야의 사건을 처리하였고 많은 성과를 이루어냈습니다. 그 밖에도 조변호사는 법원, 중앙정부, 지방자치단체, 언론사 등에 소속된 단체나 위원회 활동을 통해 의미 있는 사회 참여와 봉사를 하여 왔습니다.

 

활동내역은 다음과 같습니다. 수원지방법원 조정위원, 지식경제부 전자문서, 전자거래분쟁 조정위원, 법무부 사회통합위원, 경기도 인사위원회 위원, 출입국 관리사무소 이민통합지원위원회 위원, 법무부 산하 재한외국인지원협회 부회장, 경기도 재난안전본부 자문위원. 경기교통, 스텐다드텔레콤 파산관재인, 평택시, 의왕시, 오산시 등 고문변호사, 서울보증보험 주식회사, 한국자산관리공사, KT스포츠단, 주식회사 와이솔 등 다수 회사의 고문변호사      

 

가족으로는 처 성승혜와 4남매(수민-Jasmine, 성빈-James, 성훈-Jaden, 성준-Jason)를 두고 있습니다.
