As we welcome the New Year, we also enter the Year of the Red Horse, a symbol of energy,

progress, and innovation. At Mire Law, this year reflects our continued commitment to

thoughtful growth, strategic planning, and adapting with purpose in a rapidly evolving legal

environment.

One principle has guided me both personally and professionally: “Never stop learning and stay

grounded.” It is a value I share with my children and one that shapes our firm culture. Our

attorneys are encouraged to continuously deepen their legal knowledge, stay ahead of changes in

the law, and serve clients with integrity and compassion. We are especially proud of our firm’s

longstanding commitment to pro bono service, supporting vulnerable individuals and giving back

to our communities in meaningful ways.

In this spirit of growth, we are pleased to announce that Attorney Daniel (Dong Jo) Kang has

been promoted to Partner at Mire Law. Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree from Seoul National

University School of Law, completed a master’s program in labor law at its graduate school, and

later graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He brings decades of

experience as a former legal executive manager for one of Korea’s largest public energy

corporations. Drawing on his deep understanding of both Korean and U.S. legal systems, he has

applied that experience at Mirae Law to guide corporate clients through complex compliance

matters and to represent them with sound judgment and disciplined advocacy in sophisticated

litigation.

As a Partner, Daniel will continue to focus on representing Korean corporations expanding into

the U.S. market, advising on litigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate immigration

matters nationwide. His leadership, dedication, and depth of experience embody the very

qualities symbolized by the Red Horse.

알려드립니다. 강 변호사는 서울대학교 법과대학에서 학사 학위를 취득하고, 동 대학원에서 노동법

석사 과정을 수료한 후, 미국의 코네티컷 대학교 로스쿨을 졸업하였습니다. 그는 한국의

대표적인 에너지 공기업 그룹의 한국 및 미국지사에서 법무 책임자로 근무하며 오랜

기간 풍부한 실무 경험을 쌓아왔습니다. 특히 한∙미 양국의 법제에 대한 깊은 이해를

바탕으로, 저희 로펌에 합류한 이후 기업 고객들이 직면한 복잡한 법률문제 및

컴플라이언스 사안에 대해 체계적인 법률 자문을 제공해 왔으며, 고도의 전문성이

요구되는 분쟁 및 소송 업무들을 성공적으로 수행해 왔습니다.

앞으로 파트너로서 강 변호사는 미국 시장에 진출하거나 사업을 확장하는 한국

기업들을 중심으로, 소송 대응, 규제 및 컴플라이언스 자문, 그리고 기업 이민 전반에
